Alan joined CSS in November 2022 as the Controller after spending much of his career in the financial services industry, including banking, investing, and insurance. Prior to earning his accounting designation, Alan completed a Bachelor of Theology degree and a Masters degree in Biblical Studies, and served for a number of years at Peace River Bible Institute in northern Alberta. He is excited about the opportunity to do what he enjoys for an organization like CSS that God is using to further His kingdom. Alan and his wife Pam live in Waterloo and have two children. Alan enjoys spending time with family, cycling, reading, and spending time outdoors in God’s good creation.

Bebsie started with CSS in 2018, and her meticulous attention to detail provides CSS with accurate financial record keeping. She brings to CSS years of financial experience. Bebsie enjoys being involved in her church; serving as treasurer, and is active with many outdoor activities like gardening and running.

Bill was a national award-winning certified financial planner at one of Canada’s largest investment firms. He was a Director for six years before becoming a partner in a private firm. Bill has specialized in providing wealth management & real estate advice to people from all walks of life. He has worked closely with students, young families, professionals, business owners, medical professionals, and high-net-worth investors for the majority of his 20-year career.  Bill was raised in Mission, BC, and lives there with his four young sons.  He spends most of his spare time with his boys hiking, skiing, camping, and exploring the great outdoors. Bill is a member of Northview Community Church.

Brian has served the CSS clients and partners in British Columbia since he joined the team in February 2020. Brian is well suited for his role, as he has a long work history in the client services industry, including leadership positions. He has worked in the banking industry, supporting financial institutions in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom for 17 years. Brian also worked for a short time as a financial advisor. Before working with CSS, he worked for four years as the Operations Manager for a family-run company. Brian attends Calvary Baptist Church in Coquitlam. He enjoys spending time with his family, tending his rooftop garden, and going on walks.

Carol joined the CSS team in January 2024. Carol was born in Sao Paulo-Brazil and is also currently serving as the part time assistant pastor at Christ the Nations – Assembly of God in Kitchener.   This church community, originally started in Toronto, has been in existence for about 20 years assisting the Brazilian / Portuguese community.   Carol enjoys vacationing in the Azores when the opportunity comes as it gives her the chance to spend time with her parents who live and work there as pastors in the Church of the Nazarene.    When not working Carol loves to enjoy time with her pre-teen daughter, both of who are music lovers and surround themselves with instruments, composing music and singing.  Other hobbies that take Carol into the great outdoors to enjoy God’s creation are camping and using the stand-up pedal board.

Elleni joined the CCS team in May of 2023 as an Administrative Assistant. Elleni earned her degree (History and Political Science) at Redeemer University. She was born and raised in Cambridge, ON and enjoys spending time with her family. Elleni is actively involved in serving at her church, Forward Baptist in Cambridge, specifically in their hospitality ministry. She enjoys baking, cooking, and hosting, and will find any excuse to celebrate and gather loved ones together. In her free time, Elleni loves a day trip exploring different spots in southern Ontario, or chasing the sun and relaxing by the water.

Hilco de Haan joined Christian Stewardship Services October 2017, as a Stewardship Consultant. Previously, he worked as a financial advisor at Edward Jones. Hilco has worked for a variety of Not-for-Profit organizations as a Missionary/Community Development Consultant. His wife, Adele, is a veterinarian and they have four children, two girls and two boys. He lives in Hamilton and attends Cornerstone Canadian Reformed Church in Hamilton. In his spare time, he is a secretary of a Dutch Investment Club and Treasurer for a Mission Board. Hilco enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, reading, cross-country skiing and following severe weather.

In March 2021 Linda joined the CSS team. Linda has worked in the field of philanthropy in an administration and grants management roll for a number of private family foundations for the past 17 years. Linda lives in Cambridge and enjoys spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Volunteering at her local church and serving on the board of a local charity is also important to Linda and she dedicates that time willingly. When free time does come along you can find Linda on the trails, or on the water regardless of the season. Whether it is cycling, hiking, kayaking, snow shoeing or cross country skiing, Linda enjoys being in the great outdoors and soaking in the beauty of creation.

Since 2009 Marinus has been providing financial planning advice to clients in Ontario and since 2013 specifically with CSS. He enjoys encouraging people in their estate planning and charitable giving as they respond to God given gifts. Marinus received his Certified Financial Planning designation in 2010. Prior to exploring his current profession, Marinus owned and managed a farm and greenhouse operation in the Niagara Region with his family. He enjoys his grandkids, the outdoors, singing in choral groups, mission trips to Guatemala and being involved in local projects.

Maynard has been serving CSS since 2007, initially as a stewardship consultant advising clients in the Western Ontario region. In 2012 he became the Executive Director, and has strengthened CSS through his skills and expertise in the areas of financial advising, fiscal and resource management as well as his creative thinking and approach to Christian stewardship. Prior to CSS, Maynard became a financial advisor in 1993 in which he discovered the joy of interacting with clients. He joined the Client Service department of AIC in 2001 and eventually became the supervisor of AIC’s Tax and Estate Planning Team. On this team they reviewed, researched and commented on specific client situations as requested by financial advisors. He achieved his Certified Financial Planning designation in 2003. Maynard is actively involved at his church in Cambridge serving as a volunteer in a variety of capacities, including the Stewardship Team.

Sophia joined the CSS team in December of 2017 as a Financial Administrator at the Markham head office. Sophia has a double Masters degree from Middlesex University, London England in Financial Management and Computer Science. She enjoys serving the Lord as part of the CSS team with her financial skills and experience in the non-profit sector. Prior to joining CSS, Sophia worked at Tearfund Canada (previously World Relief Canada) supported the Finance Director as part of the accounting team. She and her husband David reside in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
